How did you get started in the profession?

  • My brother worked in a sewing workshop and it was there that I started as an apprentice at the age of 19.

  • More than 12 years

  • Women's dresses and Kimonos

What do you do to achieve customer satisfaction?

  • Performing a good finish

Are you currently undergoing training to improve your work?

  • Yes, learning to use new machines

What is the difference between your confections and those of others?

  • The handmade touch, each garment is different because it is not industrialised.

How many people work with you in this activity?

  • Currently 11 artisans and 5 assistants

What machinery do you use in garment manufacturing?

  • Straight sewing machine and Overlock.

What is the quantity of garments you produce per month?

  • It changes according to the design. Between 15 and 50 garments

Where do you buy the fabrics and materials for the garments?

  • Always India

  • I work with a person who makes clothes for Europe.

What are your job expectations?

  • Learning new techniques and maintaining job stability

What are the physical working conditions and wages like? Do children work?

  • We work with a salary that is legally indicated by the government. The conditions are standard. No children are employed.
